Specific climatic conditions may over time cause a chemical change in the propellant in the airbag inflator of certain Takata airbags. In the event of an accident in which the airbag is deployed this change could cause the airbag inflator to burst due to increased internal pressure.

Remedy

Replace the affected front passenger airbags on the affected vehicles.
