RSPV/2008/028
Special Purpose Vehicle
2009-01-09
SHORT CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR
The battery/alternator positive lead connection has been found insecure in its crimped connector to the starter motor on a small number of vehicles. This could cause prolonged engine cranking/difficulty in starting and if they detached from the starter motor during normal driving the engine would eventually loose power. It could also result in the cable electrically shorting against metalic components in the surrounding area.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to test the cable fixing and where necessary replace the entire positive lead.
Contact the local LTI dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official LTI service.
