POWER STEERING MAY BE LOST

Reason for recall

It has been identified that the in- line power steering fluid filter can block due to failure of the filter screen to adhere to the housing resulting in a rise in return line pressure. In this situation the return hose can separate from the filter or steering gear fitting resulting in a sudden loss of power steering fluid and steering power assistance. Sudden loss of steering power assistance without warning could make the vehicle difficult to steer resulting in an accident.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have the subject filters replaced with those of a larger capacity.

How the manufacturer will repair

The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES service.
