ENGINE MAY STALL AND/OR RUN UNSTABLY
The wiring harness under the fuel tank may be damaged from contact with the frame edge. This can lead to a short circuit and the engine stalling. In addition on all 2011-2012 models and some 2013 models the throttle body holders may harden and crack in use due to insufficient heat resistance. This can lead to rough engine performance.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to inspect and where necessary repair the wiring loom. A guard will be fitted over the loom which may also have to be rerouted to prevent further contact. For applicable units the throttle body holders will also be replaced with improved ones.
Contact the local KAWASAKI dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official KAWASAKI service.
