The insulation on the ignition switch harness may rub on the underside of the fuel tank. This can lead to an electrical short which may cause the engine to stall and increase the risk of injury to the rider pillion and other road users.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and inspect the ignition wiring located under the fuel tank. Where necessary the ignition switch (wiring attached) will be replaced. A wiring protection kit will be installed on all machines.
Contact the local KAWASAKI dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official KAWASAKI service.
