The positive lead wire from the battery may be pinched between the bottom of the seat and its bracket. In extreme cases the insulation of the wire may become damaged such that the exposed wire may short circuit and pose a significant fire risk.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the positive battery lead wire with a new remedial part.
Contact the local YAMAHA dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official YAMAHA service.
