OIL MAY LEAK FROM OIL PUMP AND MAY CONTAMINATE REAR WHEEL
The circlip which holds the spring loaded thermostatic element in the oil pump housing may work loose and cause oil to leak out and make its way to the rear wheel whilst the motorcycle is ridden and may place safety of rider at risk.
Recall affected motorcycles and check circlip location. If faulty oil thermostat unit will be replaced.
Contact the local BMW MOTORRAD dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official BMW MOTORRAD service.
