Over time corrosion of the internal circuit board can lead to unpredictable functionality of the alarm. This can cause the alarm to operate and in the most severe cases may cause the motorcycle not to start or to immobilise the motorcycle in use. The rider maybe warned of the issue by the alarm LED glowing slightly with the ignition on (LED should not illuminate when ignition is on).
Recall all affected units and replace with a new quality assured unit.
