On some TRISTOP� actuators the chambers may not have been correctly assembled and the load from power spring and pressure is not fully taken. Under certain circumstances the parking side and the service sides of the actuator could separate and the actuator could lose functionality. Ultimately this could lead to a loss of braking functionality and/or brake failure. Critical applications are vehicles such as city buses or garbage collection vehicles (subject to a high parking brake frequency).
Identify and replace affected actuators.
Contact the local DENNIS dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official DENNIS service.
