REAR SHOCK ABSORBER MAY FAIL CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE MACHINE
The rear suspension unit has a possible assembly defect in that the piston-shaft nut has in some cases not been correctly tightened. If a defective suspension unit is fitted there could be an oil leak or a loss of damping control which can adversely affect the handling of the machine.
The owner is given a web-address to follow and access the necessary information to acertain if the shock absorber is definately affected and what to do if it is in the affected range. "If your shock absorber is affected by the recall please contact the �hlins distributor in your country for an appointment to have your shock absorber corrected".
Contact the local KAWASAKI dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official KAWASAKI service.
