POSSIBILITY OF QUENCHING CRACKS FROM HEAT TREATMENT IN THE MIDDLE HEX FLANGE SECTION OF THE WHEEL NUT

Reason for recall

As part of the Heat Treatment process quench cracks can occur. These are not normally visible to the human eye. However if the nuts are over torqued during fitment they can appear.

Remedy

Customer are being advised to check and replace cracked nuts with a quality assured replacement component.

Contact the local DISC-LOCK dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.

How the manufacturer will repair

The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official DISC-LOCK service.
