Reason for concern

THE FUSE IN THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM OF PLUG-IN HYBRID VEHICLES WAS PARTLY PRODUCED WITH AN INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF SO-CALLED FIRE EXTINGUISHING SAND

Reason for recall

The fuse in the high-voltage system of plug-in hybrid vehicles was partly produced with an insufficient amount of so-called fire extinguishing sand.

Remedy

An additional protective insulating mat is to be fitted over the switch box of the high-voltage battery.
