Reason for concern

STEERING RACK/ STEERING COLUMN CONNECTOR MAY DETACH

Reason for recall

This can result in the splines not engaging in the block/shaft sufficiently. This could lead to a disconnection of the steering column and steering rack which can result in loss of control of the vehicle.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles to replace the connection block with a longer connector. The connector block is of a different size and shape
