It has been identified that the striker wire on the bonnet lining may not have sufficient support to prove it with the security for its intended purpose. This can lead to incorrect locking of the bonnet over time and could result in an unintentional release of the bonnet. The driver will received early warning signs or symptoms by the incorrect locking of the bonnet.
Recall all affected vehicles to inspect and if required an additional strengthener to retain the striker cable on the inner panel of the bonnet. In some cases there maybe a requirement to replace the bonnet.
Contact the local CITROEN dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official CITROEN service.
