Reason for concern

ENGINE COULD OVERHEAT AND STALL

Reason for recall

On Petrol versions (HA1W) the air bubble separation function of the condenser tank for the engine cooling system may not function properly when the engine is running at high RPM. This could result in coolant overflowing from the condenser tank. If the coolant overflows repeatedly and use of the vehicle continues without sufficient coolant engine overheating could occur. In the worst case the engine could stall/heat seize and cannot be restarted

Remedy

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the condenser tank refill the coolant and bleed the system.
