On a number of specially modified vehicle it has been established that if the vehicles are used in adverse operating conditions building sites etc in a fully laden condition with steering at full lock it is possible for the front spring brake chamber to foul the brake hose stem and cause it to fracture. This could then result in the loss of air which could cause the application of the parking brake and render the vehicle stationary. In a worst case this could cause the vehicle to lose control.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and reposition the mounting points for the brake hose.
