BRAKE LIGHTS MAY BECOME INOPERATIVE

Reason for recall

It has been identified that on certain Sonata models the stop lamp switch may fail. Should this occur the brake lights may fail to function or could flash continuously. It is also possible that the electronic stability programme may fail to function or not operate correctly. Additionally in the case of vehicles fitted with automatic transmission and a transmission lock it may not be possible to move the gear selection lever from park to drive.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have the stop lamp switch replaced.
