On affected vehicles the handbrake ratchet tooth dimensions are incorrect resulting in a mismatch and incorrect engagement between pawl and ratchet teeth. Consequently the handbrake lever may disengage

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles check date stamp on lever and if marked 200709 replace handbrake lever
