POSSIBLE REDUCTION OF BRAKING EFFORT
It has been identified that during production the front brake back plate retaining bolts may not have been tightened to the correct torque. Should the vehicle continue to be used in this condition the bolts may work loose and fail. In the worst case this could result in the front brake assembly detaching from the axle breaking the air line causing a loss of braking effort at the affected wheel station and an increase in stopping distance.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject bolts checked for correct torque. If found not to be at the correct torque the bolts will be checked and replaced as necessary.
Contact the local HINO dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official HINO service.
