Reason for recall

It has been identified that engine coolant might be drawn into the left side cooling fan motor connector. Should this occur an electrical short circuit will arise which may result in a fire within the engine compartment.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have a left side radiator cooling fan motor wire overlay installed. Additionally the left side cooling fan motor connector will be inspected for damage. Vehicles found with a damaged radiator cooling fan motor connector will have the fan motor replaced.
