INJECTOR PIPES MAY FAIL RESULTING IN THE POSSIBILITY OF A VEHICLE FIRE

Reason for recall

It has been identified that the possibility exists that the currently fitted fuel injector pipes may fail which under certain circumstances may result in a vehicle fire.

Remedy

Recalled vehicles will have the injector pipes replaced with those of current the production pending the development of a redesigned pipe. Until such time as theses become available pipes will be changed on a six monthly or 100 000 km basis.During the initial stage of this recall subject vehicles will be fitted with an engine bay fire extinguisher system.
