IF THE VOLTAGE IS LOW THE FUEL SHUT OFF MAY NOT OCCUR
The possibility exists that an interruption of or low voltage supply to the power train module may allow the vehicle to be accelerated with the steering column lock still engaged. Additionally the column lock may under certain circumstances remain locked when the ignition key is in the on position thus preventing the steering wheel from being turned.
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the PCM will be reprogrammed. At the same time the steering lock will be checked for correct tolerance and replaced if necessary.
Contact the local CADILLAC dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official CADILLAC service.
