PARKING BRAKE MAY INADVERTENTLY BE ACTIVATED

Reason for recall

The non-return valve on the 4-way protection valve has been fitted in the wrong position. If there is a large leak in the main brake air feed circuit to the trailer brakes all air pressure will be lost in the parking brake circuit. The parking brake will then be activated therein locking the rear wheels on the tractor unit.

Remedy

Recall affected vehicles and remove the non-return valve from the inlet side to the outlet side of the 4-way protection valve.
