POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL
The steering idler arm may not have adequate end clearance on its fulcrum and could pick up on its retaining nut shearing the split pin. This could allow detachment of the nut with an adverse effect on steering control.
Recall the affected vehicles and check that the steering idler arm has adequate end clearance on its fulcrum. Where the clearance is insufficient the correct clearance will be established by shimming.
Contact the local TATA dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official TATA service.
