Reason for recall

A batch of vehicles has been identified where the parking brake pawl teeth have been incorrectly formed and are of insufficient depth. This may result in damage to the pawl teeth as well as those on the handbrake ratchet and could permit spontaneous release

Remedy

Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the parking brake ratchet and pawl mechanisms with quality assured components. This recall supersedes former campaign R1992/17 since Renault have decided to replace the ratchet and pawl mechanisms on
