Reason for recall

It has been identified that during production the temperature sensors for the alternator have been installed/located in the wrong position. This can result in the driver not receiving an early warning of the alternator overheating.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles to inspect the location of all the temperature sensors for the alternator and if found incorrectly positioned reposition them as per the technical service instruction including checking of the alienator bearings/friction.
