DRAG LINK JOINTS MAY BE INCORRECTLY TORQUED

Reason for recall

It has been identified that the drag link rod ball joints and/or at the link rod clamp may not have been torqued to the correct specification. It is therefore possible that the securing nuts may become loose. This can result in the drag link rod detaching from the spindle arm or the pitman arm.

Remedy

Recall all affected vehicles and check the torque of the securing nuts. If found to be incorrect then replace the drag link.

Contact the local VOLVO TRUCK dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.

How the manufacturer will repair

The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official VOLVO TRUCK service.
