VEHICLE MAY MOVE FORWARDS UNINTENTIONALLY
It is possible that a hybrid bus standing still with the diesel engine running on idle could suddenly move by itself. An incorrect accelerator pedal system can provide the gearbox with a corrupt acceleration request signal. The gearbox can change clutch status from disengaged to engaged which results in sudden vehicle movement if the vehicle is left in gear with the handbrake off.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and update the I-shift gearbox software.
Contact the local VOLVO BUS dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
The Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary by and official VOLVO BUS service.
