SHORT CIRCUIT MAY RESULT IN A FIRE

Reason for recall

It has been identified that there is a risk of contact between the starter motor cable and the exhaust heat shielding. Should this occur and the cable insulation become damaged an electrical short circuit with the attendant risk of fire might ensue.

Remedy

Affected vehicles will have the exhaust heat shielding re-shaped to prevent contact with the starter cable.
