POSSIBLE INSECURITY OF UPPER STEERING ARM

Reason for recall

The screws securing the upper steering arm may have been overtightened damaging the threads of the screws and the threads in the steering arm knuckle. In the worst case situation a loss of steering control could result.

Remedy

Remove the screws from the steering arm knuckle and examine the threads on both components for damage. Fit new bolts in all cases and new steering arms when the threads in the knuckle are found to be damaged.
